As of Oct. 1, we have a new patient portal, StewardCONNECT. The new portal houses our patients’ Steward hospital and outpatient practice medical information, all in one convenient location. You can review lab results, contact your provider’s office, manage your medical bills and more. LEARN MORE

Spine Program

FMC Spine Program will raise the bar in spine care by placing greater value on patient education.  To improve lives of those suffering from spine problems by offering the most technologically advanced treatment options combined with innovative thinking and clinical expertise, and creating culture built on service excellence.

The Spine Program team will prepare you for surgery and pain management, prior to and after surgery, as well as recovery outside of the hospital. Our goal is to help you regain mobility as quickly and painlessly as possible.

This approach consistently leads to:

  • Better outcomes
  • Shorter hospital stays
  • Faster recovery
  • Less pain

New Surgical Suites
FMC has recently finished remodeling its brand new Specialty Surgical Suites, giving us the ability to provide you a private room with a VIP experience.

As a patient, it’s important to know that our orthopedic surgeons will first try to develop non-surgical solutions to address your needs. If surgery does turn out to be necessary, our orthopedic surgeons and staff will educate you on the procedure and the recovery process. As you attend Joint Class, you will be thoroughly educated about what to expect before, during, and after surgery.

Concierge Service
At Florida Medical Center your Spine Team Patient Navigator, Bridgette White-Zaragoza will guide you through your surgery from referral through recovery. Please contact Bridgett directly at 954-730-2751.  From the first visit, we collaborate with each patient to decide on the best treatment option. Often, this is not surgery. See below for examples of the range of treatments available.
